The Korg oasis has several of korg's products in one. It has a 16 track hard disc recorder, a hammond organ emulator similar to the CX3, a virtual analog synth, a work station similar to the triton, and a second generation korg karma.  You get 5 Korg products in one. That's why the price is $8000.

And it's the price tag on it that I opted to the SP-200.
I don't need all the bells and whistles

don't forget about the 10.4" touch screen the flips up...

price high but if it is your complete studio, then you save space...

it's a VERY nice board. if you can think of it, you can get it done with this one keyboard.

but why spend $8000 on ONE piece of equipment??

you could build a very nice home studio for that amount of money. a new pc or mac, an 88 key controller, mics, pro tools, and the right kind of software for whatever it is you do will run you about the same amount of $$...maybe even less if you catch deals.

not a practical buy. just my opinion though...
