I read an excerpt on my Kindle. Just bought the book--should arrive on Thursday.

Just curious (because I'm still kinda intrigued by Kindlers), why'd you buy the book if you have a Kindle?

I think I'm going to get on this, it sounds interesting enough. Hopefully a local store has it cause I won't be able to buy it til thursday or friday, but I'll be on board for the wild ride LOL

Yippeeyay!!! I'm not sure where you live, but if you live in a metro area and have a Christian bookstore, I'm almost certain they'll have it. If not, your local Barnes & Noble will either have it or will order it for you. I would look into it today if I were you. That way if they don't have it, they can get it in by the weekend.

I've started.  I've read the preface and intro so far.

Intriguing? I don't want to try to skip ahead to discussions or anything, but I'm curious to know what you think thus far.

Let me clarify. My phone has a kindle app and whereas the screen is 100% larger than my BB, I can't see me reading a book on my phone.  :-\

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh ok... gotcha.

I think LL reads on his Kindle app (unless he got a Kindle in addition to his app). I couldn't see myself doing it, either.

OAN, you are really making me want to get a new phone. But I won't jack the thread... lol.

No, nothing too intriguing, in my opinion.  In fact, it's pretty much what you would expect from a preface and an intro- a lot of talk that points to the meat of the book without giving any of the meat.

Just make sure you'll have bars everywhere. Whereas I love my new phone, I don't have bars in my dungeon of a classroom--the place where I need them the most.  :-\

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure there's an app for that.  :D ;D

By the way, I do have the Kindle app on my phone and my computers.  I alternate what device I read on based upon where I am.  My new phone arrives either tomorrow or Thursday.  I'm not sure how big the screen is compared to my current phone, but it doesn't really matter, the Kindle app allows you to change the font size, which I do.

Yeah, I hate that.  But still, I can't go forward without reading them, lol!

Thanks, LL.

I think I've only read one book in my life that had a preface or intro that really made me anxious to read the book. It was a Christian-type book, but I can't remember which one. I think it was a John Maxwell book. But yeah, mostly intros and prefaces are just a waste of my brain processor. :D

But similar to Nessa, I have to at least skim them. I don't always read them, but I always skim them to see if it fascinates me enough to read. I do always read the acknowledgments because I like that kinda stuff.

OAN....

My book is here, my book is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Plus, the other two I ordered so I could get free shipping, Radical by David Platt and a Marcus Major book y'all probably wouldn't be interested in... lol). Yayyyy!!!!!

I just opened my box from Amazon.

:-[

I don't know how to say it, but I'll just say if I had seen this book in the store, I never would've bought it. I hope I can get through it. The font, the footnotes, the writing style, the language... lots of conflicts for my brain, but we'll see. I'm going to give it a shot, at least.

I doubt I can read the preface and intro, though. I can tell just by looking.
