"Before my wife left for a sabbatical I asked her to give me some, And it was good! So I told her to give me some more"

"On the way back from Mississippi, I knew I needed to get back in time for church, and I didnt have time to stop, so I went in a bottle, while I was driving so I could make it here"

SMH, this is why people need to be under someone for a minute before they go out and start ministering.  A good leader woulda told that joka that was some foolishness...

Glad I've never witnessed anything like this in person.

The only thing I've seen was when I was in Atl at some church and the preacher kept saying "he--", like repeatedly. And he wasn't using hell as in the place where some people go.

Yeah, not as bad as what some of yal heard or seen. But... Still.

It is all a matter of what the deacons, trustees and other church leaders and most of all, members will accept from their pastors.

I actually heard a preacher curse from the pulpit and keep on preaching like it was a normal convo. No euphomism, no metaphor, just a straight up curse word. I was thoroughly disgusted and almost left the service, until another preacher came behind him and rebuked him.

The thing is...some of these are vets.  They have been preaching so long they have lost all tact.  They feel they can say what they want.

I've witnessed cursing preachers...the more they cursed, the more the people hollared.  I guess they could "relate" to them or something dumb like that.

The sacred desk is sacred...we gotta be more careful.
