Its a shame that my dental coverage still had my portion of a root canal at $500 dollars... that didn't even include the crown. Pulling them was only $25 hind site is 20/20... The Virginian was created to haul high quality "smokeless" bituminous coal from southern West Virginia to port at Hampton Roads.  The line was noted for its superior engineering and early use of electrification.  The Virginian became a fallen flag in 1959 when it became part of the much larger Norfolk & Western Railway.

If Funk cares about this stuff, then it is a CLEAR violation of the rules, and should be deemed ineligible for inclusion in this thread. We may have to call an exploratory hearing to further probe the matter.

Unfortunately the rules of the thread were never really defined. In fact, the very first post clearly shows that the OP expressed his love for something that he DID love and to which nobody else cared about.

That's debatable. There may be no clear definition in the first post, but the title implies that the thread will host things that NOBODY really cares about. If the poster himself actually cares, then SOMEONE does care, thus nullifying the truth of the title. Any post that opposes the truth of the thread title is a slap in the face to the OP and should be considered blatant disrespect and disregard.

Recommended course of action: either we banish FS to the dungeon for a period not to exceed 77 years, or we start a thread called THE SOMEBODY REALLY CARES THREAD, or we.... just.... continue to look at the trains.....

Well....it started shortly after I arrived in America from Trinidad at the age of 7.  We didn't have trains back home (the system had been abandoned years before I was born) and the rails were one of the first things to catch my eye here; this fascination has stuck with me ever since.
