When yall go to a Guitar Center or Sam ash or any drumshop what do yall spend money on most? As far as Snares, Cymbals, Cymbal Stands, Drumsticks, Drumheads, Footpedals, Drumkeys. Thats all I can think of right now. Anytime I go into a drumshop or anyplace that sells drums I cant help but to buy a pair of drumsticks. Right now I probably have 19 pair of sticks at the least. The reason I have so many because drumsticks are cheap here in Memphis. Aiight Holla!!! OUT!!!

In order from most amount of money spent to least: drumsticks, drumheads, and cymbals. Notice all three of those are consumables in order from most comsumed to least comsumed too. Being a drummer is very expensive.

I'd have to judge it by all the money I've spent so far...

Most to least... Drums, cymbals, hardware, heads, drumsticks...

i was playin with my old drum lesson teacher lee pearson jr he plays for savion glover (tap dancer) he gots a endorsement from vater and his stick bag weighs more then my bass case with bass cords etc which comes to about 27 lbs and he dosent pay for anthing its crazy

Definetely sticks...as soon as the tip starts to wear out i throw that stick away because then it can wear out the heads.3-4 years ago i use to break cymbals quite often but i changed to a lighter stick model since,(from vater 1a to vic firth's d.weckl model) and that seems to have taken care of the cymbal breaking.
i bought my first drumset in 1989(sonor performer).In 1998 a bought a high quality 8-piece Gabriel drum set (all-maple handmade here in athens,greece).Last summer i bought a Pearl masters studio kit(4-piece,no snare drum).I also like a new snare drum every now and then.I own about 6.
But my biggest addiction is this.CLAMPS!!!

Yes sir i am a self addmitted clampsaholic :lol: ,i try to get my hands on as many and different as possible.Tama,gibraltar,pearl,sonor...you name it i got it!i try to be as inventive with 'em as possible.

i don't know about ya'll but for me, it is stix all the way. what is funny is that i used to play really thick stix like anywhere from a 5a to a 2b and now i play the vic firth peter erskine signature original stick which is smaller than a 7a and i break these less than the big stix. wierd huh? they feel great to me and don't cause excessive stress on my wrists...

that's why you don't break'em cat!when you use a stick that's heavier than what you feel comfortable with(or lighter for that matter),you tense up wich usually causes you to grip harder than normal.extremely tight grip is reason number one for stick breaking....
