Starting my own Website
« on: April 20, 2005, 04:53:11 AM »
Hi Guys
For a while (years now) I have been thinking of starting my own website. The idea of the website is the exact same as this one but I want to get all the keyboard/piano players together in South Africa.
One of our biggest problem is that only 40% of the population can really afford an internet connection at home and like myself I only use the internet facility at work.

Please give me some advise on where to start and things I need to look out for? [Daryl I would like to hear from you]
proposed name will be http://www.learngospelmusic.co.za/

Mike (South Africa)

Mike,
If you have the time, and money, I'd say go for it.  But remember it takes a looooot of time to run a website. but if you have the time, do it. :)

Alos, to run an effective website, you will need a home computer.

Why not choose your own name? That address would confuse people. Besides, you're treading close to copyright violations, but I guess since 4hisglory said it's ok, you don't have to worry about it. I wouldn't do it though.

I'm glad you said that.

Mike it is important for you to establish your own identity. Your website will become your ministry and your ministry.
