Joss Stone dvd...
« on: April 18, 2005, 02:19:44 PM »
Hey everybody,i'mjust watching Joss Stone's dvd right now...the girl can really sing(i mean she's what, eighteen?).the band is really tight.the drummer is named ceasar griffin and he's a solid-meat 'n potatos-pocket player.what is really cool is that the dvd contains many close-ups of him,way much more than you are used to...i say, props to the director.this is the way concert dvd's should be produced! 8)  :)

Yestarday i was watching Janet Jackson's "velvet rope".superfunky concert, lil' john has it all DOWN man...poor sound quality though...a lot of arena boominess.the one in hawai(is that teddy campell on the skins?)is the winner on this aspect, although i prefer the setlist from velvet rope plus the band is not buried in the back(hawai features zero close-ups of the musicians).

Thanks for that tip!   I was considering picking up that JJ DVD, but I thought BFM was playing on that tour like the live in Hawaii.  I am a huge fan of Joss Stone and I will be picking that one up too!  PT.

THis is a gospel forum and I believe that we as musicians must be able to use a full spectrum of influences as you will see in each form area!!  :D

I love to listen to Joss Stone though. One cool thing about her is that she is like a Betty Wright student. On her first album, Betty is all over it, she even does background on one of her songs!! Listen close and you'll hear Betty Wright coming through!!
