Title: What amp is everyone using??

I have 2 Fender Tweed blues deluxe tube amps, One with stock 6l6 power tubes and the other Has thd yellow jackets that run the amp in class A with el84 power tubes! really cool 8)

I use a Line6 Spider II at church and I have 2 Peavey's for other gigs: Delta Blues 210, Classic 20, and a Classic 115E enclosure for either.

Im BORROWING a 25 watt(i think, it has 10 inch speaker) Fender Champion 110 amp that sounds good on low volume but distorts and buzzes over level 5...I know i need to buy a better amp but hey im 17 so my cash is--well---i have no cash!!!!!(not even 2 dollars)   :o :o

I normally use a Fender Twin Reverb or, second choice, Roland Jazz Chorus.  For rehearsals and smaller church gigs I have a Fender 212 on the east coast and a Carvin in the midwest . . . I have a tiny Peavey practice amp I got in 5th grade . . . and I have a Roland KC500 for keyboards but I also use it for acoustic.

My father has a silverface fender twin reverb and a silverface fender vibrolux reverb but right now he is using a roland jc-90

I have the Original Fender Cyber Twin and sometimes I use my Beringer GMX 210 with the pod.
Hey "thatguyro" What do you think of that Valve King because thats one of my next prospects. :)

right now, it's the podxt live going stereo into 2 Tech 21 power engines.

when i get about 5000 dollars saved, it will be a Cornford Hellcat or RK100........if you've never heard a Cornford amp, oh my.......

lol, i ain't able either, but if you heard one you'd understand. i'm just gonna save from every gig, every scrap of money i can get my hands on.

I feel the same way about Bad Cat.

Their Hot Cat 30 2x10 is about $2600 but it sounds sooooooo sweet.

For now, though, my $450 Peavey and $300 Line 6 will do just fine...  8)

have you heard a cornford dave?? i have a feeling you'd like it. to be honest, the 35watt combo is ONLY 3400, lol, but the head is 3400 and the cab is 17 if you want to go that route.

i'll post a link if you'd like to hear one, and see the most amazing guitarist i've ever heard in my life, bar none.

I picked up a Crate v3112 30watt ,class A  1x12......4 el84 power tubes marshally crunch  :P  This amp is Hot

I use a Peavey Transtube EFX 212 for normal playing and a Peavey Minx bass amp when I want need to play songs that need to be really clean.

well the fender i was borrowing is gone(see the House System post) but i have a Peavey Studio Pro 112(Great Clean, by the way) in the pawn shop...just a few mo dollas........

Im playing through a fender twin 100 watts w/1/4 power switch been through a lot of amps i love this one it doesnt get lost when next to the leslie or bass amp when im not going through the house . oh how heavy it is but oh how sweet it is all tube

Wow, I thought I already posted this one.  Guess not...

I have a Peavey Classic 30 with Sovteks in it, and a Sheffield speaker (I tinker).  And a 515 head with Sovteks through a 4x12 Laney with Celestions, and a custom 2x12 with 1 sheffield, and one blue marvel (the on eout of the classic 30!).

I'm eventually going to change all the capacitors in both amps to orange-drops to smooth out the sound (de-fizz).

I also have a crate GLX 212. What are your tone settings for the Clean, Rhythm and Solo channels?

I'm using a Crate GFX/65T with my Fender Custom Tele on clean & sweet settings.  Sometimes I'll switch to a full wah effect depending on the song.  I also use it with my Celebrity 12-string and Conn 6-string acoustic with a Dean Markley pickup on those same settings 98% of the time.  I am still looking for another amp and other settings that work well for church services.   ;D

Abe, I mostly play on the Clean channel. I set the high about 3/4, the mid about half, and the low about 1/4. On the Rythm channel I set the gain about half way and the other setting around the same as the clean (depending the need of distortion).As far as the Solo channel goes I don't use it much other than at playing around at home. I just turn the volume up on the Rythm channel when I get the rare chance of soloing. I hope this helps, but I would suggest to play around with until u get the tone that u like :)

Jonzee, We're on the same track with the Crate GLX212. I'm always in the Clean channel (at 50-65-65-75%) and switch to the Rythm channel (at 40-75-00-65-65%) just for the added boost/distortion. I never use the Solo channel because it's too hot for me. The onboard tuner is real handy. One church event I played on, the bass player didn't have a tuner so I told him to just plug in and tune up.  Overall it's a good amp for the money and for church work.
