COGIC_state_organist, I went to school with your dad and graduated with your uncle Kenny.  Moses has ALWAYS been my favorite.  He inspired me to switch from Piano to Organ.  I saw him here in Vallejo a while back when he played at Second Baptist's anniversary program and did a "sick" version of America The Beautiful.  I'm sure you're a chip off the old block ...  :D

Larry Young, jazz organist, check out his cds Unity, The Art of Larry Young, or Doin Somethin.

He's passed on now, but he was something for sure.

Also, any gospel organist I've ever heard, I don't know all the names of everybody, there is an organist that plays at St James Baptist here is Austin, he seems to be the music director, he really knows what he's doing.

I'm more of a jazzer, what I wouldn't give to play like you gospel players.  Jimmy McGriff has some gospel influence, gospel requires more pedal technique than jazz.
Thanks for letting me hang with you guys!
