Hey to all...What's your EQ settings?
« on: April 22, 2005, 10:08:52 PM »
Man I have to say this is a cool site..I'm new here and like everything I see.  There is a wealth of info here.
Anyways to my question.  I know that someones "sound" depends on alot of things like thier bass, amp, cabs, strings, and even how they play.  But what I'm looking for is:
1)  What is your amp EQ set at?
2)  What is your bass EQ set at?

The reason I ask is b/c I hear alot of good sounds from some good players but I have no idea what thier settings are at.
Just to start this out here are mine.
AMP....bass>1 o'clock, mids>9 o'clock, highs> 2 o'clock
BASS......all are flat.

Thump on with the love of Christ in your heart.

Wow thats something I havent though about for a while...Only because it allways changes for me. I change my settings from club to club...one day ill take pictures of my settings!

I do like a little more bottom then top since I like to feel my lower half shake

Also gear plays a roll, some basses get muddy with low end boosting, others still stay tight..experiment and have fun!

gear? Peavey valvex tube mixer, rane 5 band parametric eq, art tube compressor, korg rack tuner, 1500 watt power amp. its a heavy rig!
