Holy Ghost

Can a Holy-Ghost filled, speaking in tongues, as the Spirit of God gives utterance saint  be possessed with a demon and still retain the Holy Ghost? If so, please provide scripture(s).

speaking in tongue does´nt means automaticly to be a Holy-Ghost filled..

Jesus even  predicted  that in the last time some people will said we have done great miracle casted out demons , speak another tongue, but he wont know them 8O ....
Speaking in tongue is a gift and God can give it to anyone who ask  i think...
a Holy-Ghost filled can be seen by Spirituals fruits one bear in itself..love patience , joy ,peace... :P .of course when oll this come from   Jesus through the Holy spirit...
so when all this fruit dwell in someone in fact there is no place for the demon ..

First of all, your heart is not a duplex--you cannot have Christ living on one side and the devil on the other.

Matthew 6:24--No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

As timf06 already stated, you will know them be the fruit they bear.

1 John 4:1--Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

One night, my husband and I were in church and this young woman started "speaking in tongues," but there was no joy behind it.  It was like she was forcing it out.  My husband and I looked at each other and just shook our heads because many of the other people were shouting because they didn't take the time to try the spirits.  They just heard someone speaking in tongues and thought it was the Holy Ghost.  Well, the fruit that this young woman starting bearing did not match up to what the Bible says.

Just remember, for every REAL thing, there is usually an imitation.

Yet ANOTHER tremendous example of a quality response BACKED UP with SCRIPTURE.

There is some issues that can't be backed up with a scripture because real life examples is so must better.
Holy Ghost - Some poeple are faking it and you need to be in tune yourself to know if someone is really speaking in tongues or just saying the same thing over and over, and the way they do it as well you will just know if that is from God.
Demon - My answer and experience is no you can't be Holy Ghost filled and have a demon. Couple of months ago a good friend of mine had a demon in him and the thing was manifesting in our presence while praying for his depression. To answer your question he can't speak in tongues, but was faking it, but remember this was loyalist guy in church. On the leadership and regular at church and our Pastor's right hand man.

I didn't read your whole question before I clicked to respond...I don't have Scripture! LOL. BUT I was told that demons can not POSSESS a Holy Ghost filled body. The Lord dwells in that body. What really is going on, like Paul said, is a war. The flesh is warring with the Spirit. Holy Ghost filled people deal with demons. There are demons around you everwhere a Holy Ghost filled person goes....but they cannot possess him. The closest they can come is INFLUENCING him to take the advice of his flesh and backslide, receiving 7 more spirits not of God, but not possession.

If I properly understand your question, then no they cannot.  The Spirit of the Lord cannot dwell in an unclean temple. The question is, are they demonicaly possessed or are they just walking in the flesh?

If a saint has become posssessed, then they have allowed themselves to become susceptible to satanic forces.  This doesn't just happen, but I believe the Lord warns the individual concerning their actions that might lead to their spiritual demise.  Someone who is demonically possessed by the forces of satan will not say the name "Jesus".  They are usually uncomfortable in a church where the anointing of God is moving in a mighty way and may even become a disturbance. (Luke 8:28)

Secondly, we need to understand when someone is possessed or just walking in the flesh. (Rom. 7:18) Saints can become carnal and do some foolish things by not being subject to the Holy Spirit.  (e.g.) You were told to fast today and you ate anyway, then use "the devil made me do it" as an excuse.... NO, you ate cause you became subject to your flesh.  A demon didn't make the sa(m)ich for you and put it in your mouth.  

Being carnal will happen and every once and a while a saint will react in the flesh thats why we must "watch as well as pray".  On the other hand, demon possession is evil and diabolical and NO saint should allow themselves to become subject to such forces.  If so, then the Holy Spirit has to depart fron that person.

Although He was talking about something else, Jesus described the journey of a casted evil spirit.  You don't want him returning to find the house clean and EMPTY.  I would say you need someone there to block him.  Man, I think I have to listen to that song...RIGHT NOW!!

No, really, I started reminice. I have been taught alot. I thank God for that. I get played because OF MY AGE...but I JUST WANNA SAY TO ALL THE HATERS...LOL..JK....To all the, well you know who you are, Im just going to call you..."Thomas'"(the doubting discipline)....

Not only has God allowed my maturity level to be among those which are "grown" BUT...well I guess this IS testimony, that I just  cant seem to get out like I want to. I dont want to have to PROVE myself on this site to all those that "doubt" me because of my age. I am really bothered by that... BECAUSE

I made a post, and what I said was obviously profound. Someone replied to it....and then in another room, replied to a post and said something to the extent of...[you have to watch how old the people posting are, because I found out the person that got me to my boiling point was only 17] From that, I gathered that my reply to that post was discredited because I am only 17, and when I tried to contact the person to find out how they found out how old I was (not liked I lied about my age)...the person has not responded back to me.
