Primarily I use a Godin A6 on Saturday nights and a Godin Solidac on Sunday mornings.
The A6 is very comfortable to play and has a great acoustic-like sound.
The Solidac is versatile; 2 humbuckers, 1 single coil, 5 way switching and 6 L.R. Baggs saddle transducers...it can sound like a Les Paul, it can sound like a Strat and it can sound like an acoustic...all that with made in America/Canada quality.
The kicker; the Solidac cost me $250 brand new because it was in the store for years and they HAD TO move it out. Praise God that I was the one to move it.  ;D

Epiphone SG Special. I love the smooth/fast neck. Even people who have more expensive brands/models say that they would prefer to play on that neck. The action is reall high on it though.

ibanez as73 semihollowbody. a bit bulky to sit with, but when you get used to it, the action and playability are great. bridge pickup not the strongest, but the tone is wonderful. when i first picked it up, it felt like it was made specifically for me. all for $299. can play virtually any style.

I have a mexican Fender strat that I love but I recently purchased an Ibanez AS73 sunburnbusrt colored and it is my favorite between the two. It plays cleaner and I get less feedback noise. Its a great guitar for the price. Good playabilty. It is versitle. It's pretty sweet. :D

From what I remember, those were very nice guitars.

Ibanez GRX40.  Came in da ibanez jumpstart pack...but good guitar....2 single coils and a humbucker----very versatile.  I can easily go from squeky clean to NASTY(w humbucker)  GREAT NECK, Perfect action.  Also, low price.  I dont NEED to upgrade,  but i would like to add either a Fender Jaguar HH, Gibson/Epiphone Firebird, or (most likely what ill get) Ibanez Jetking (mahogany model, not basswood model)
Go to a store and buy an Ibanez.......

Fender acoustic named- stratacoustic, and a cheap electric from a brand called Arbor.  I like the stratacoustic because it is shaped and feels like the stratacaster, and gives great acoustic sound from any amp.  I actually like the arbor because it has a small fret board.and i have small fingers.

I play a 1981 Gibson ES-347.  Besides the sound, the thing I like most is the fine tuning bridge. It's good for making corrections while playing.

My primary guitar is a Mexican Strat.  I've used it in any number of professional sessions, concerts, services . . . an American Strat would be nice but I travel with my guitar a lot, so if a $400 guitar gets lost or stolen versus a $1000 guitar . . . it does the job and sounds very good.  I also have an Ovation acoustic.

What axe do you play with and what do you love about it?

I only have two guitars (and a bass) so my choices are limited.  Between my '97 Lone Star Strat and my '93 American Standard Strat, the '93 is my #1.  I've done a few mods to it including the addition of locking tuners, a "series blender", and a MOTO pickguard.  Thanks to the series blender and the TBX tone control, this guitar can go from super fat to razor thin.  It's hard to make this Strat sound bad.  But the thing that I really love about it is the neck.  From the very first instant I picked up an American Standard Strat at Wasington Music Center back in 1988, I was hooked.  The combination of the 9.5" fingerboard radius, medium-jumbo frets along with the neck's profile make for a winning combination.  Interestingly, the Lone Star is basically a hot-rodded American Standard with a humbucker in the bridge, but the neck profile is differnt (over the years, the profiles on American Standard Stats have changed.  The earliest exampels had thinner necks similar in feel to an Ibanez).

I usually play my Clapton Strat (w/ lace sensor pups), but lately I've been playing my new toy... a G&L Tribute S-500.  It has a lot of sustain... the likes of which I thought I'd never get with a bolt on neck(strat).  It also has a toggle switch that will give you N-B and N-M-B pickup combonations.  The best part about it is that it cost me less than $400.  Less than a 1/4th of what I have invested in my strat.  I'm sold. It really makes me wonder how a higher priced G&L guitar will perform.
God Bless!!
