::: Sabian rocks :::
« on: July 19, 2006, 04:36:58 PM »
Hey, guys - I sent two cracked cymbals, one 10" HHX Evolution Splash and a 17" AAXPlosion Crash, but I had forgotten to include a receipt with the package (which is required to process a warranty claim).  On today, 7.19.06, I received a replacement splash and the crash is on backorder.

   ;D  SABIAN ROCKS!!!   ;D

Here are a few photos of my replacement splash (by the way, I requested a 10" Hand Hammered Splash in brilliant finish)

*note: I did not clean this cymbal!  *lol*

You seem to be a big fan of Sabian's Hand Hammered cymbals. How are they treatin' ya? That seems to be an under used brand of cymbal for today's drummers.

I love them - they are a really nice mellow sounding line.  They are extremely musical in the sense of blend and balance.

They are also an underused line because of the price point - you've gotta pay to play, baby!  They aren't at an AA or AAX price point.

If you can, get them.   ;D

I'm trying not to get there too quick, lol!

Yeah, they are some nice plates.  I would suggest to hear the HHs first, since they vary in tonal structure.  I got lucky when I ordered my set (16" and 18" HH Dark Crashes, 21" HH Raw Bell Dry Ride) some time ago.  The others I ordered online, but I'm speaking mainly about the HHs.   ;D

Congrats j_kay for making it into the 1000 post club.....I only have about 940 more to go.  LOL

I am also glad that Sabian took care of you like that.  Good to see that there are still companies out there that are customer focused.
