Master Studies II
« on: October 26, 2006, 09:58:04 PM »
Hey LGM Family,

I don't post stuff to often, but I couldn't resist on this one.  Listen up, if you feel like you're in a rut or don't feel like you're progressing (which is how I felt for a couple of weeks), then you need to pick this book up.  I have the first one and the first one was tough, however it's worth the practice time.  I loved the first one, but the second book is out of control!!!!!!  It's stick control on crack LOL!!! Na, seriously IMHO everyone needs to pick this up.  Why?  Because you get to go inside the head of one of the best musicians ever (Joe Morello).  He doesn't think like the "normal" drummer.  He takes things to a different level and more importantly musical level.  I know I sound like a promo, but I just love music and drumming and I felt I needed to share with you something that will not only help your technique, but help your musicianship (which is the ulitimate goal).  Give it a try.  By the way the paradiddle section is off the chain!!!  Take care and God Bless.  Oh by the way, I was wondering how to upload videos?  I want to post some footage of me and share some of my knowledge with you guys, but I don't know how to do it, so if someone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.  I want to post some Afro-Cuban rhythms and orchestrations around the kit for everyone.   It's not to show off or get compliments it's to help others and spread some different rhythms that some people may not know or are comfortable with.

Thanks man.  I'll try to hit dway up.  Yeah man, those are my kids LOL!! I love my DW kit.  I know alot of cats say they're overrated, but man, I have nothing, but love DW (not because I own one), but just the quality is amazing.  I'm also digging the Sonor Designer series kits, but they cost an arm and a leg, but not really feeling the hardware.  That's where I prefer DW because of the quality of their hardware (even though it's heavy as heck LOL).  Well PM man, if you ever want to chat.   Take care and God Bless.

LOL!!!!!!!  Could you believe I bought that kit off of ebay.  I didn't like the picture when I first saw it, but when I saw it in person, man, I had to grab it.  The picture really doesn't do the kit justice, but it's a nice kit.  I praise God for helping me get that kit.  I use it in the studio all the time and the engineers love it.  To be honest, it stays in tune too.  That's the one thing I love about that kit.  The only complaint is that I have to set it up LOL!!  Take care and God Bless

Yeah, that's one of the traits of DW that they stay in tune. Love your kit man. Praise God for E-bay... Enjoy ;)
