Ok this will be for newer players but may help some others also.
We all know that bass lessons for gospel music are few and very far between so what is one to do.
I for some time have been checking out keyboard lessons. Why you may ask. There are a bunch of them out there and nearly all of them include the bass note in the lessons. From the very basic lessons where the keyboardist plays the basic chords and includes the bass note, to the advanced lessons where the keyboardist plays advanced chords and just calls out the bass note.
You also get some cool passing notes, arpeggios, double stops and even chords for the adventurous among us. You also get some licks, runs and riffs, although some of them are a little extreme for bass. On top of all of that you get free ear training esp with the advanced lessons because the bass note usually isn't being played so it's a good chance to listen and fill in with the appropriate bass note.
Now these lessons won't give you the exact feel of how the bass part is to be played, that part is left up to you, but they are very helpful for training your ear to pick out the bass note goes over what chords.
So hopefully this will help out someone, and remember this is classified information and remember to tread lightly on keys turf, less they gain knowledge and start cranking up bass knobs on amps, pulling out foot pedal drawbars, and playing left hand power chords.

Here's a little example of the more advance lessons.
