Looking for Pianist/ Organist around STL

Hey everybody, We are The River Worship Centre 60 miles south of STL.  We are looking for a pianist and or organist for Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings.

We are a small church but we would be able to give $125.00 a month plus fuel to get back and forth.

We have a Phantom X8, a Hammond XK-1, and a Baby Grand Piano.

You can get an idea about some of our music and preaching every Friday morning at 7am on Channel 24 out of St. Louis.

We do a variety of music from Black Gospel to Contemporary Worship to Hymns to Old Pentecostal Tent Revival stuff.

Yea. Heck if i were in that area i would LOVE to take that job on. I don't get paid in my current church and i play Wednesdays, Fridays and two services on Sunday.

I know folks get flammed for saying musicians should get paid but $125 a month?  At the same time, you can afford to do a TV broadcast.

I admit it is paltry but like you said, it is probably best for a musician who is looking for OTJ training. I would not take it for the money.

It's a problem to expect reasonable compensation for your time, talent, and efforts?  (Channel 24 is gettin' they money!)

Talk to me when you begin playing for churches, I'll see how you feel about it then... ::)
