After yet another ridiculously lopsided Brooklyn Style trade offer that made me LOL as most B-Style offers do (*sniccer*), I send back a reasonable and mutually beneficial offer.  B-Style rejects it with the comment "I guess u learn trading from sjon"... which brought forth more nefarious chuckling from me.

See, I can only imagine what he tried to offer. Did he try to make you such an offer that would force you to drop a much needed individual?  :D :D :D :D :D ::) :D :D :D :D :D

And, I take his comment as a compliment.  :P :D

He wanted Michael Turner  for... LaDanian Tomlinson and Deion Branch. Comparing total fantasy points alone does not a good trade make!

I'm debating in my other league if I should keep Rivers as my #1, or make him SADDOWN in favor of Freeman depending of the matchups.  It's a tough call.

Definitely a tough call.  I think the deciding factor is whether or not Gates plays.  But, you'll have the luxury of waiting to find out.

Think I'd play him because his WRs are better than Freeman's at this point.

Pretty much, even if they're a bit gimpy they're still better receivers.  I'm expecting Rivers to start putting up better numbers, but Freeman is a pretty good plan B.

Think I'd go with the guy with better weapons.

so i guess the only way trades are legit are when someone wants to give up their thrash for your best, when u offer decent players for someone who can help your team (the purpose of trading i thought) this is frowned upon.....you guys are funny

and

branch - 72pts
tomlinson - 50pts

My God and my Father,

I thank you for giving me the victory through thy son Arian Foster's 234 total yds and 3 TDs.  Set a hedge of protection around his hammys and hasten his footsteps on the gridiron.

Let's start with Turner averaging more points per game than Tomlinson.  Then, let's add that Turner has more TDs than both of them combined.  Add to that RB depth is, according to many, the best assest in fantasy football.  Lastly, there's the potential for points factor.  Currently, Turner has more opportunities for points than either Tomlinson or Branch.

Their combined point total is not enough for me, and apparently BT, to pull the trigger on that type of trade.

Now, I'll grant you that it's not quite a lopsided trade but it's not appealing, either. *kanyeshrug*

Indeed.  I have my finger on the SADDOWN button.

Yeah, but just you wait until the Baltimore defense saves my skin and goes BEAST MODE for like 80 points tonihgt and take the matchup.  Yep... just wait.  Keep waiting.  And get a snickers.  Yeah.

Exactly.  IMO, LT is pure fodder, his productivity has been pretty whack, so it was pretty much a straight up deal between Turner and Branch.  That, combined with the reasons that SJ pointed out, made this a NOSIGN.

I'll admit, it's not as lopsided as most of your offers, but not appealing indeed.  Look beyond the fantasy points, and read into the circumstances around the player and his team.

One part I didn't mention is projection--trying to know where a player is in the 'pecking order' on his respective team.

LT's behind Greene (even though he started yesterday, a knock to his former team, nothing more)

Branch is the third or fourth option on the Pats behind Welker, Gronk, Hernandez (in some order).

Turner has been getting the rock.  And, I'm not buying this 'old legs' theory, either. Cat's been puttin' in work.

Bingo again.  With a few exceptions (especially Welker), having WRs and RBs from either the Patriots or Saints have the same annoying problem... they're all up and down because the hot hand rotates from week to week.

And, when not injured, Colston.  :-\

I had a diamond in the rough sitting on my bench for weeks.  Now it is time for my diamond to shine.
